Dr. (MJ) Kim is a behavioral neurologist with research expertise in PET neuroimaging and clinical correlations. Her research work at Stony Brook Medicine is focused on the clinical investigation of the neuroinflammatory mechanisms underlying Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias using PET imaging.

Maria graduated from Stony Brook University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She is working as a Clinical Research Assistant under Dr. Kim, assisting with several studies involving MRI and PET imaging. She plans on continuing her education in Clinical Psychology.
